Federal Judiciary Continues to Operate During Shutdown UPDATE

Wednesday, January 9, 2019

Despite a partial shutdown of the federal government that began on December 22, 2018, the federal judiciary remains open and can continue operations through January 18, 2019, by using court fee balances and other funds not dependent on a new appropriation. Court hearings will be held as scheduled. Meetings of creditors (341 meetings) conducted by the United States Trustee will also be held as noticed. The CM/ECF system will continue to be available, and the clerk's office will be open during normal hours of operation.
