Monday, February 2, 2015

On behalf of the bankruptcy judges in the district, I am pleased to announce that William T. Magill is our new Clerk of the Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Tennessee. Will has demonstrated that he is the right person for the position by his exemplary service as deputy-in-charge of the Greeneville division for the past 17 years. The judges are confident that Will has the necessary leadership and management qualities to guide the clerk’s office into the future. Will and the rest of the clerk's office staff are committed to providing excellent customer service to the court, the bar and the public, and to ensuring the effective and impartial management of cases.

The judges also take this opportunity to thank our former clerk Danny Armstrong for his effective leadership as clerk of the court for the past eight years and to wish him the very best in retirement. We appreciate his service and look forward to building on the successes of his leadership.

On behalf of the court,

Marcia P. Parsons
Chief Judge
