Amanda Stofan Appointed as a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee

Paul A. Randolph, Acting U.S. Trustee for Region 8, and Nick Foster, Assistant U.S. Trustee, have the pleasure of announcing that Amanda Stofan has been appointed to serve as a chapter 7 panel trustee for the Eastern District of Tennessee effective February 6, 2024. Ms. Stofan is the Managing Partner at Farinash & Stofan, a Chattanooga, Tennessee law firm that specializes in bankruptcy, commercial, and real estate law.  She received a B.A. from the University of Georgia and her J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School.  Ms. Stofan has seventeen years of bankruptcy experience, the last seven of those as counsel for former Chapter 7 Trustee, Jerry Farinash.  Her bankruptcy practice focus is primarily consumer and business debtor-oriented, but she also owns and operates two title companies with Mr. Farinash.  Ms. Stofan is certified as a Consumer Bankruptcy Specialist by the American Board of Certification, and she currently serves as a Board Member for the Mid-South Commercial Law Institute.   Locally, she serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors at Crabtree Farms, whose mission is to expand access to locally grown food, provide farm-based educational opportunities, and cultivate community.
