On September 17, 2024, the Judicial Conference of the United States (JCUS) approved proposed amendments to certain Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure (FRBP) and the adoption of new Official Bankruptcy Forms. The proposals were transmitted to the United States Supreme Court on October 17, 2024. The Supreme Court adopted the proposed amendments, and they were transmitted to Congress on April 23, 2025. Absent Congressional intervention, the proposed amendments will take effect on December 1, 2025.
In addition to the two FRBP updates, there will be a change to Official Bankruptcy Form 410S1 (Notice of Mortgage Payment Change), and six new official forms have been drafted and approved.

General Order 2025-01 addresses revisions and additions to the Local Rules of The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee (TNEB).
The chart below shows TNEB’s plan for incorporating these Rule and form updates through the creation of new ECF events and retirement of events that will no longer be needed. They will go live in ECF on December 1st.
